To Whom It May Concern,

The purpose of this letter is to recommend Maria Vegh as a master teacher.  Ms. Vegh spent an extraordinary week with us last summer during which time, not only did our students benefit, but our faculty did as well.

Ms. Vegh is an extremely gifted and generous teacher that possesses an amazing knowledge of our art form and of kinesiology.  She is a very energetic teacher that willingly shares her knowledge and expertise with all who will listen.

Ms. Vegh does not fall into some of the teaching traps that are exhibited by so many master teachers.  In fact, some of Ms. Vegh’s most impressive qualities are found in behavior she does not exhibit.

(1) Attention in class is not based on talent level or body type.  She treats all of her students with respect and enthusiasm.  Ms. Vegh very willingly gives of her knowledge to all of her students.

(2) Ms. Vegh is capable of teaching every level of dancer and is not a teacher that will request to teach only the most advanced dancers in a school.  Her expertise where the little ones are concerned is impressive and she would be just at home and capable of teaching them.

(3) Ms. Vegh respects the history of our art form, but is not stuck in the past.  While exhibiting this respect she is open to the exploration of new and better manners in which to train.  This quality has served her well and has aided in the formation of a teacher that is creative, articulate, and capable in all aspects of training.  (If our art form does not continue to evolve it is unlikely to survive.  Maria is a teacher capable of contributing to this continuing evolutionary process.)

Ms. Vegh has two seminars that I would like to bring to your attention.  One is a floor section that includes strengthening exercises and stretches.  The other presents a unique and highly effective manner in which to approach pointe training.  I highly recommend both.  I would also like to bring to your attention that she has a set of videos that contain valuable information.

In closing, I would like to let you know that at the end of the week that Ms. Vegh spent with us we witnessed the fruits of her labor.  We have now incorporated information acquired from her into our program and are seeing results.  Ms. Vegh is, very simply put, the best teacher I have ever had the privilege to experience.  I have not been exposed to so much valuable material since my days in graduate school and am very grateful for the experience.

Highest Regards,
